but I am. All by myself that is.
AbuS is on his way to Egypt, to visit his family for the first time since he came to the US in 2005. This will be the first time I’ve been alone for more than a day since he moved here.
So now the question is what do I do with myself?
*twiddles thumbs*
So far, I’ve bought organic milk. Living dangerously, aren’t I?
So, goals for my alone time are:
- Read an islamic book for 20 minutes each day
- Read the Quran for 20 minutes each day
Not big goals, but inshaAllah achievable ones.

When my DH goes away on business, apart for more time for dhikr, I get all kinds of little jobs done that I wouldn’t otherwise – like tidy up, he he.
May Allah protect Abu S from harm and bring him back to you safely.

Wow! I didn’t realize he was going so soon! Whenever y is away I cook and eat all the things he wouldn’t try and/or dislikes eating!
wa alaikum assalam yearningheart – heh, AbuS always does a major cleaning when I’m away visiting my family and is expecting something similar. Let’s just say cleaning is not my forte, so perhaps I should start doing a little of that each day. Bah.
