the weekly squeaky

from the archives, one of my favorite squeaky pics ever

Her royal fuzziness sleeps at the foot of the bed (or between my feet) for most of the night.  But for some reason, around 4 am she feels the need to move up towards my head and settle in for a very loud purr fest.  No apparent reason, but 4 am seems to make her very happy.

Me, not so much.

  1. When I was in high school I had to travel 30 kilometers by train… I had to get up at 4:30AM some days to be there by 7:00AM. Well, my cat was the only one of the family who loved the 4:30AM getting up and he demanded we get up so early each morning. I guess he thought it would be better for me to have some routine… I love him dearly… but just not in 4:30AM.

    • Aww, he just wanted to make sure you made it to school on time :)

As I tell Squeaky daily, it’s a good thing she’s so cute, otherwise it would be hard to tolerate her.

  2. Chunky insists on sleeping in the same room as us. At around 4am she would jump on hubby so he could get up and open the door to let her out (we close the door to conserve air conditioning). The 4am thingy must be genetically wired in cats.

  3. Hehehe I wish. Cat doors don’t exist in my part of the world. It was hard enough to get the contractor to understand what a cat enclosure is, much less a cat door. Oh well.

    • Send your husband to man school, so he can do it himself :P I know I know, horrible stereotype that all men are handy. My dad could fix anything, and unfortunately, AbuS knows nothing when it comes to tool related stuff. I joke I’m going to send him to man school, and I’ll come too.

  4. Hahaha… He says, he is too busy to tinker around like that. I guess I can’t complain coz he can cook really well and isn’t above helping with the housework when he can. But today Papa Pongkey is going to attempt to fix a tap that I broke off by accident (honest!). Yeah, these taps are all flimsy nowadays.
